While there is currently an oversupply of memory semiconductors due to a sluggish global economy, analog chips for automotive and industrial applications remain in short supply. Lead times for these analog chips can be as long as 40 weeks, compared to around 20 weeks for memory stocks.

The four main molding methods for graphite molding are: extrusion molding, molding, vibratory molding and isostatic molding. Most of the common carbon/graphite materials on the market are molded by hot extrusion and molding (cold or hot), and isostatic molding is a method with leading molding performance. Vibration molding is generally used to manufacture medium and coarse structural graphite, particle size between 0.5-2mm particle size, generally dominated by di-roasted graphitized products, density between 1.55-1.75kg/m³, coarser particles, rougher surface, can not be used for precision machining. It is mainly used in chemical industry and metal smelting.

As global acceptance of electric vehicles gradually increases, Silicon Carbide (SiC) will encounter novel growth opportunities in the forthcoming decade. We know that further epitaxial layers need to be built on top of some wafer substrates for device fabrication, typically LED light-emitting devices, which require GaAs epitaxial layers on top of silicon substrates; SiC epitaxial layers are grown on top of conductive SiC substrates for building devices such as SBDs, MOSFETs, etc. for high voltage, high current and other power applications; GaN epitaxial layers are built on top of semi-insulating SiC substrates for building HEMTs and other RF applications.

SiC MOSFETs are transistors that offer high power density, improved efficiency, and low failure rates at high temperatures. These advantages of SiC MOSFETs bring numerous benefits to electric vehicles (EVs), including longer driving range, faster charging, and potentially lower cost battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Over the past five years, SiC MOSFETs have been widely used in the power electronics of EVs in vehicles from OEMs such as Tesla and Hyundai. In fact, SiC inverters accounted for 28% of the BEV market in 2023.
